While I was here alone, I would often heat up frozen biscuits for breakfast. They weren’t bad but they weren’t homemade. Several times I almost stirred up half a batch of Blake’s Biscuits but talked myself out of it because half a batch is still four biscuits and I knew what would happen if I had four of those in the kitchen.
Yesterday morning Vince wanted biscuits, bacon and eggs for breakfast so I finally was able to make those amazing biscuits.
They’re so good! I think I’ll heat them up today and make ham and egg biscuits for breakfast.
Here’s a funny story. Addie was here the weekend I made stuffed flounder. I heated up three frozen biscuits that morning – one for each of us and one for the seafood stuffing. She must have noticed that there was an extra biscuit and she came in later in the day and said “Granny, where’s that other bun?” I said “Bun??” She said “You know . . we had buns for breakfast and there was one left!” I explained that it was a biscuit and I had used it in the stuffing. What I didn’t tell her is that her daddy would not appreciate her disrespecting his southern roots and calling a biscuit a bun! 🙂

Now I want fresh hot biscuits for my breakfast!! I made honey butter yesterday, thinking I was going to make cornbread at supper time. Well, that didn’t happen but I did have some of that honey butter on a piece of toast. It would be great on a warm biscuit.

Biscuits? Not here in the UK boo hoo, any chance of the recipe ? My other half would love to try as well as me. Bacon & eggs go down well no matter what time of day.

The link to the recipe is in the post.

OMOSH!!! What a huge mistake making this biscuit recipe. They are SO GOOD. I made them Wed. with sour cream and this morning with yogurt and could not tell the difference. Successfully halved the recipe for James and I. Thanks again for a great recipe.
