Yesterday we had gone to the bank and the flowers in their beds were just gorgeous.
It made me want to come home and plant flowers but we need to do a bit of planning first. I did buy one small pot of lavender and I’ll find a place for that but most flower planting will wait til we decide about gettng rid of some overgrown shrubs and what will replace them. For now, I’m not about to bring up yard work to Vince. I did mention raised beds and he knows I need to get the asparagus planted in a permanent location but I don’t want to hound him about it til he’s had a chance to recover from the move.
Flowers sure are pretty though! It’s so nice to live where I will be able to grow more things that bloom.

Love that happy little yellow dandelion that snuck into the tulip bed!

Dandelions around here are definitely invasive! It was hard to even find one in our area of Texas but here . . they are everywhere!

The bees love dandelions which is good for our food chain.

I’ve only seen a few bees in our dandelions. There are beekeepers on about every corner around here so I have a feeling the bees in our area are not having to work too hard to find food.
