Almost since we first visited our little town, we heard about Babe’s Drive In. They were supposed to have the best hamburgers! You know I love a good burger.
I think it was the day of the house closing and things got a little scary for a moment. I was stressed so I decided to call in an order and go get a Babe’s burger and onion rings. It was every bit as good as we had heard.
This morning I told Vince I had gone by and picked up a burger from there. I thought for sure he’d want one for lunch but he didn’t seem interested. Then, about 3 p.m., he asked if I wanted to go to Babe’s. Of course!
We finished up what we were doing in the house and went and got us a burger. I got fries and he got onion rings and we shared.
While we were eating, Vince said “We’re so lucky all the good restaurants are on our side of town!” Maybe not lucky once we find a set of bathroom scales!

Yum! I love a good cheeseburger! We are kind of moving to the Bay Area of California for my husband’s work. Keeping our home base in Washington state and got a tiny apartment down there. My favorite part is that we are one block from In and Out Burger! My favorite as I love thin patties.

One block away is great!! I have never had an In and Out Burger!

Try Nation’s Burgers, too. I like them even better than In-n-Out. Their pies are AMAZING! (Of course, I’m assuming they’re still in business. We moved out of CA 17 years ago.)

Looks good. I’m a fan of Sonic onion rings. I’ve eaten them since they first opened in Texas when I was about five, and I still like that you can bite into it and the onion doesn’t all come out of the breading. Of course, it needs cherry limeade to go with it. =) Babe’s sounds like a great place. Is it actually a drive in? Those were everywhere when I was a dating teenager in West Texas!

They have a drive thru but it’s not actually a drive in. I read online about it and it was built in 1983 so I doubt it was ever a real drive in.
