You would had to have seen the shop before to know how much work Vince did getting it packed and cleaned. I’ll admit that I really didn’t think he could do it and fully expected him to pay someone to haul it all to the dump but he did it. I don’t know if he’ll ever recover!
He ended up finishing up loading everything he was bringing in the truck, doing the last minute things in the house and he was on the road by 9 a.m. He got to the Missouri house about 7 p.m. He made great time considering he stops more than I do and I drive the speed limit . . not even 1 mile over. It was horribly windy and with the truck being old, Vince didn’t always go the speed limit, especially in the 80 mph area.
He got here, sat down and decided he wanted to pick up Chinese food and bring it home. I wanted to call Door Dash but he insisted we drive down and get it. It’s probably not 5 miles from the house so we drove and picked it up. There’s a road I pass when I’m going the back way to get to Chad’s and I had a feeling it came out somewhere near the Chinese restaurant. I asked Vince if he knew where it ended up and he didn’t but we took it and it’s a road that will work if I need an alternate route to town. No scary bridges!
Vince said the truck drove fine! No problems. It got good gas mileage. The radio worked. He had music all the way. He’s happy . . his old truck, his old car and his old wife are here! 🙂

And by “old wife” I’m assuming you mean “amazingly wonderful wife”? Have fun unpacking!

Exactly what I meant! 🙂

So happy Vince had a good trip and is home safe and sound. I can hear the happiness in this post.

It is hard to believe Vince wanted to drive somewhere after being on the road all day. Did ya’ll exercise another vehicle?lol.
Judy Laquidara says
Yes. We will not be driving the pickup much. It will make trips to Lowe’s or Home Depot. That’s about all it will be used for. I wish we could get rid of the Honda and the pickup and get a better pickup but that’s not going to happen. We really only need two vehicles, especially since now we have limited parking space.

So happy to hear he arrived safe & sound. I know you’re relieved. Enjoy your ‘new’ life in MO – maybe we’ll meet up sometime at Weavers!
Judy Laquidara says
We have to do it!
Julie says
I hope Vince will love bering in Missouri as much as you do!
Judy Laquidara says
Even if he loves it half as much as I do, he’ll be happy! 🙂
