Food Truck Friday

Carthage, MO, which is maybe 10 miles from our house, has Food Truck Friday starting this coming Friday. Last year they had 24 food trucks and I think it’s supposed to be more this year. It’s the second Friday of every month during the warm months. I’ve been so excited about this event. The list of trucks hasn’t been posted yet but they have ice cream, frozen drinks, all kind of tacos, some seafood, confections, pretty much everything you could want.

There’s a problem though . . we’ve both been looking forward to getting fish at a local restaurant that only has it on Fridays. It’s really good and there’s a lot of it so we wouldn’t want to eat again that day if we get fish.

Here’s what I’m thinking . . Vince will have driven from Texas today . . maybe part of the day tomorrow, depending on what time he gets out of the house. Thursday the movers are supposed to arrive and he’ll probably deal with that to some degree. Friday he’s probably not going to feel much like walking around the park, waiting in line because it’s probably going to be really crowded with it being the first day of the season, then finding a place to sit and eat so I think I’ll just not mention Food Truck Friday and hope we can do it in May.

There’s a little glimmer of hope that maybe he’ll want to ride down there Friday afternoon and check it out – maybe get dessert. Oh . . I wish the cinnamon roll guy had a food truck but I don’t think he does.
