Today is Monday. There’s a good chance Vince will be here tomorrow! Not definite but I’m hopeful.
I have a few chores that have to get done today. I want to have everything ready for his arrival because, since I don’t trust the old pickup, just in case I have to leave Tuesday and go get him somewhere, I want to get everything done today.
I’m going to wait til in the morning and see what time he actually leaves before I decide whether or not to cook dinner. If he’s not getting out of there til mid-morning, he may not drive all the way here. So . . I’ll just see how it goes and be happy to see him when he gets here.
Can you believe it’s finally happening? I thought this day would never happen.
Any guesses as to how long he’s here before I’m ready to send him away to somewhere? 🙂
The bad news is that sometime in the next few days, two more truckloads of stuff will arrive and we’ll spend months trying to get unpacked and situated. I know Vince is so ready for this all to be over!

I know y’all are really looking forward for this move to be finished. It will be so nice when you’re together again.
Wishing all the best for y’all.

So ready and so ready for everything to be put away and decisions made about shop/no shop and a few other things we’ve been debating. I just want to get up every day, do a FEW chores and sit and knit or stitch the rest of the day!
elle says
I give it 5 days and you’ll send him to town for something……unless he already left to shop before then 😉
YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Judy Laquidara says
OK. 5 days for Elle! 🙂
I’m about 100% sure Vince will be going to town within 24 hours of arriving here but we’ll see.
Cilla Tyler says
I was going to say 1 1/2 days.

Yay!! Praying for all to go well!!

Hooray!!

I hope that the two truckloads are going directly into the storage units. Based on how they put a lot of the first load into the wrong rooms, will Vince be there to direct them on how to stack the boxes? Do you have pallets to put the boxes on, to reduce moisture being absorbed in the bottom boxes?
I agree that Vince will be going to town within 24 hours of arrival.
Travel weather looks good except for the high, breezy winds on Tuesday and Wednesday. Good tailwind for Vince to get out of Texas on Tuesday and a northwest wind to sweep him into Missouri. No mention of any severe weather by the OKC weather guys.
Judy Laquidara says
The only thing coming to the house is a freezer, fridge and recliner. The fridge and freezer will go into the garage and I’m having them put the recliner in there too. We’ll move in in ourselves once we decide for sure where it’s going. No pallets. Everything that’s going into the storage buildings is pretty much stu that will go into Vince’s shop once it gets built. There are a few kitchen things but those boxes are all labeled and the movers are going to put them where we can get to them. Vince doesn’t want to deal with any boxes or unpacking for a few weeks.
We couldn’t have asked for better weather for moving day. There’s a chance for a “gusty thunderstorm” Wednesday morning but last I heard, the movers weren’t coming here til Thursday.

I can only imagine how excited you must be to have Vince with you again! I am praying that he has a safe and uneventful drive to the new house.
Can’t wait to hear the stories that will happen once he is in Missouri with you! Let the games begin!!
Sara Fridley says
It has been such a long process for you both, and I’m sure it’s exhausting. I’m so glad he will finally be joining you in MO full time.
Teri says
This is so exciting! So very happy for you both!

6-8 hours before Vince heads off to a store!! That’s my guess! Why? Because he won’t have the screw, hook, screwdriver, extra garbage bags you-name-it, and he won’t know where in the boxes/house to find it. I’ll be waiting to see if my guess is the right one!! No fair holding him at home for 24 hours either.
Judy Laquidara says
I’ll definitely not hold him at home. He is free to do whatever he pleases, go wherever he pleases but maybe alone . . even if it is only a few hours ater he got here.
If he drives all the way here without spending the night somewhere, I think he’ll stay home at least 24 hours but if he spends the night along the way and is rested when he gets here, there’s no telling what he’ll do.

How wonderful!! Looking forward to hearing all of your duo adventures!
