I’ve mentioned on here before how I can never sleep before a trip and sometimes the “trip” is as simple and close as a 7 a.m. grocery pickup at Walmart. Not much interferes with my sleep but for some reason, a trip most anywhere does.
Last night I was so tired ater having had Addie since Thursday. She isn’t any trouble and plays quite nicely by herself but I do more when she’s here and with having her an extra day this weekend, and then cooking Easter dinner and trying to get the house to looking like I’ve worked really hard for the past six months, I was in bed last night before 10 p.m. and that NEVER happens. I woke up at midnight and couldn’t go back to sleep and that NEVER happens. I did go back to sleep but was awake about 4:30 so I got up, stripped the bed, washed them and got them back on the bed, washed the quilt and got it back on the bed. Then I dusted and vacuumed the upstairs, mopped the kitchen, and except for a few things (putting all the cross stitch things away, cleaning Addie’s bathroom and whatever else I see that needs to be done . . the main work in the house is done.
I’m going to sit and cross stitch for a while.
There are leftovers so I don’t have to cook anything.
I’ll be tempted to take a nap but I’d rather stay awake and go to bed early tonight. We’ll see . .

OH MY I seriously thought I was the only one in the world that for some reason can’t sleep the night before I have to go anywhere the next day, and if I’m asleep before 11 I’m wide awake at 12 or 1 and knitting until I can finally fall asleep again around 4 or 5. Nice to know I’m in good company. So glad Vince is on his way back and his work is done. Enjoy your day.
