Yesterday Addie went down and played with Boots. She wanted to brush him so I gave her the brush. She’d bring it up to me to clean out when it was full of hair. She said he was being so nice, purring and letting her hold him.
When Chad and Nicole got here, Chad went down to see him. Addie was still down there. Chad told me that Addie said “Bootsie is being so sweet! He’s the best cat ever!” Chad held him and all of a sudden, his eyes got huge. Addie said “Dad! His eyes are big. He’s not being a nice cat. Let’s get out of here!”
Today I was down in the sewing room for a couple of hours. If I sat down, he sat with me. If I was up working, he was right under my nose. I tought . . he’s being so sweet, I’ll let him come upstairs. He wasn’t up 5 minutes and his tail was swishing angrily and his pupils were huge. He kept sniffing around the front door. Who knows what’s been out there. I haven’t seen any evidence of an animal but I probably wouldn’t.
I picked him up and he was not relaxed. I took him back downstairs and sat with him. He was back to being a sweet kitty. He definitely isn’t comfortable upstairs. We’ll see what happens when Vince gets here. Also, Vince will spend a lot of time downstairs so I’ll be anxious to see if Boots hangs out with him in the downstairs family room, or if he comes upstairs.
