Today Addie and I were talking about chickens. She wants more baby chickens. See . . it’s not just me who could never get enough chickens!
Here’s our conversation:
Addie: Why don’t you have chickens?
Me: I live in a neighborhood where I probably can’t have them but it’s hard to ever go anywhere when you have chickens. Someone has to feed them and get the eggs. Even when we had automatic doors, I still wanted someone to be sure they were safely inside at night.
Addie: You can ask someone to do that when you aren’t home.
Me: No, I don’t have anyone here I’d ask to do that.
Addie: Angie! Ask Angie! She can do that!
I explained to her that Jeremy and Angie didn’t adopt us and agree to meet our every need for the rest of our lives . . they simply sold us their house. No! I’m not asking Angie to take care of chickens!
