I’m so happy that tomorrow is a school holiday and I was able to pick Addie up this afternoon. I have a garage door opener to their house so I went by there to get Addie’s things for the weekend and my opener wouldn’t work. I texted Nicole to see what time she was getting off and she must not have been able to see her phone. I sat there wondering if I should go by her work but I doubted she had a key and I doubted she wanted me to drive her new car home so I could go in and get Addie’s things so I was thinking about what to do and remembered I have a key to their house. I have two sets of keys and one key so I wasn’t sure if it was on my key ring or not but it was and I was able to get in and get Addie’s things.
I had planned to pick redbuds to make jelly but Chad’s trees are very big and I needed a ladder to reach the buds/blossoms. There was a ladder in the garage but I figured it best that I not attempt to drag it out to the tree, climb up and start picking flowers when I was there alone just in case I fell.
Got Addie’s stuff, made our normal stop at the Mexican restaurant in the next town over that she likes.
Except for a few more trips out with Rita, we’re in for the night . . not going anywhere!

Have a wonderful weekend! It looks to me like that girl is growing and maturing, especially her face. When/If you do make red bud jelly, please share the recipe. I think it’s too late here this year, but there’s always next year! Of course, then I’ll fall in love with it, and red bud trees don’t grow in Arizona!

I will link to a recipe when I make it but it’s pretty much the same exact recipe as the dandelions.

I guess the Mexican place in a town was easier than sushi in Joplin!
Judy Laquidara says
The Mexican place is not actually in Joplin. They say it’s in Purcell, though I have never seen anything there other than the Mexican restaurant and what looks to be a metal building that may house a fire truck but I’ve never driven farther than the Mexican restaurant. It’s the opposite direction from Joplin, on our way back from Addie’s house and no traffic at all.

It is so great to see how you’re enjoying time with your family. Once Vince gets there, it will be even better.
Judy Laquidara says
It’s as good as I had hoped it would be! Yes, he will be here very soon!!

My goodness! How did she get this tall all of a sudden? So happy you are there to spend time with her and your son and DIL. I know you will be happy to have Vince with you when he gets there! Happy Easter!
Judy Laquidara says
She is very tall. Her other grandmother is tall so I guess that’s where she gets it. Thanks! Happy Easter to you!
