Between Covid and winter, I hadn’t been going to the Farmers’ Market but I was wanting to go Saturday. Friday evening Addie and I talked about it and I expected the lady who makes doll clothes to be there so Addie was happy to go. Later, I checked the list of vendors and she wasn’t going to be there so Addie didn’t want to go so I said ok, thinking we’d sleep later but she was up at 6 a.m. so I told her . . let’s go to the Farmers’ Market and I’ll be super fast.
Look at that gorgeous produce! Mushrooms, lettuce, dill, green onions, beef sticks from the place where I buy the ground beef, cilantro and a bag of salad mix with argula and other weird things.
There was a young lady selling flowers so Addie picked out a small bouquet. We had the on the table Sunday when Chad and Nicole came for dinner and Addie took them home with her. She now thinks she’s going to grow flowers and sell them at the Farmers’ Market when she grows up.

How is your Misfits delivery going?
Judy Laquidara says
I get them every two weeks so I’ve only had two and they’re fine. I cancelled for this past Saturday because I’l have Addie Thursday – Sunday and she doesn’t eat a lot of veggies so it has to be “normal” stuff with her here. I’ll fix a big Easter dinner, then I’ll eat leftovers at least the first part of next week. I’ll probably cancel the next one since it arrives on Saturday and Vince will be here by then. If he wants to go somewhere, I don’t want to have to stay home waiting for the delivery.

I don’t stay home waiting. It has an ice pack in it, so I just do what I have to and it’s still fine when I get home.

But since this is Vince’s first weekend here, he may want to go somewhere overnight so a box of vegetables isn’t something he’ll want to sit home waiting on. If we were just running to town, I wouldn’t mind but since I have no idea what we’ll be doing, I stopped the orders for the next couple of shipments.

Those fresh veggies look wonderful – except for the cilantro. I’m one of those folks who think it tastes like soap. But the mushrooms!! Be still my heart. Our little farmer’s market won’t open until late May, and they never have that big of variety of items. Although one of the Hutterite Colonies always has the best fresh chicken. I look forward to the fresh veggies again.

Hi Judy. I’m glad you are going to blog again. I have a new one, coincidentally. In fact, I linked to your blog this morning. Connie

Well, Addie might be right…my daughter, now 32, is starting a flower farm and hopes to be selling them at Farmer’s Markets and other… she says working with the flowers really makes her happy! So one never knows! ( So wonderful that you get to spend such time with Addie… these shared times, as small as they might seem, mean so much)
