I had the Moderna vaccine if anyone is wondering.
Yesterday afternoon I was back to feeling fine. I picked up a few sticks in the yard, vacuumed, made crawfish cornbread for dinner (even though I thought I wouldn’t be hungry for dinner).
Here’s a funny story. When I was buying groceries the other day, I wanted a bag of crawfish tails. I couldn’t find them in the store so I asked an employee if they had crawfish. Everyone from Louisiana knows frozen crawfish is going to be just the tails.
The guy thought he knew where they were but couldn’t find them so he asked someone else so they both went to the frozen fish aisle. The frozen crawfish were up on the top shelf so one of the guys reached up to get them. The other guy looked at them. The two guys looked at each other like they were thinking . . which one of us is going to tell her?
I said “What’s wrong?” Very apologetically, one of them said “This is just the tails!” I said “That’s exactly what I need. Thank you!” I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing. It was like both of them were afraid I was going to be disappointed. I was telling my friend in Louisiana about it and she was cracking up.
Anyway . . I think I’m going to make it .. glad to have that vaccine behind me. I probably won’t do much different from what I’ve been doing except I will see Addie more and when Vince gets here, I’m sure we’ll go out to eat occasionally. Since I haven’t had a hair cut in 1 year and 2 months, as soon as it grows out a bit from the last time I whacked on it, I’ll get a real hair cut.
I want to make a trip to Louisiana soon. My uncle has had both his vaccines so I don’t mind being around him. A lot of it will depend on if the numbers start going up again . . just have to play it all by ear I guess.
