I had planned to wait a while, at least a couple of weeks after getting my second vaccine but I kept thinking . . if I feel bad for a day or two after the vaccine, I really want to be able to sit and work on the punch needle project and I needed floss for that. So . . I risked my life for floss.
I’m not giving advice but even I’ve heard there’s some amount of protection after the first vaccine so that’s what I’m hoping. I did wear a mask, stayed away from people (it wasn’t crowded in there), used and sanitizer when I got back in the car, washed my hands when I got home so . . I’m hoping for the best.
I did get the needed floss. They had it all but it’s the same price as it is at 123 Stitch when HL doesn’t have it on sale and it’s so much easier to order it than stand there and find what I need. OK . . I’m lazy but if Walmart is bringing groceries to my house, then I can order floss from 123 Stitch.
One thing I had been wanting to look at was frames. So many of the flosstubers I watch find amazing sales on frames. I did find some on clearance today and that made me happy!
This one is 11 x 17. The regular price was $37.99 and it was marked down to $7.99.
This one is 8 x 10 (yes . . you see that without me saying it, right?). It was regular $19.99 and I got it for $3.99.
This one is 8 x 10 also. It doesn’t have a glass but most of the custom frames I order, I don’t order the glass. It was also regular $19.88 and on sale for $3.99.
It’s pretty easy to manipulate cross stitching to make it fit a frame i it’s close to the size you want it to be. Now I’ll be looking at the things I stitch with the goal of making them fit into some of these frames.
I’m not going to start buying a ton of frames but if I could always have a couple of different frames in a couple of different sizes, that would be nice.

You could always do a patchwork frame around the stitched pieces. Maybe add a nice smaller inner border or a flange. Then add some fusible fleece on the back and bind it like a Quilt. That looks really nice.

I have done this with several pieces (some years ago) and they have aged quite well. It works nicely for some stitched projects!

I have used the first frame for an embroidered piece (redwork type of embroidery) and it’s perfect. Got it at HL also.

Those look really nice, Judy. I think you’ll have no trouble finding just the right thing to go in each one. So see? You didn’t risk your life for floss. It was for floss AND frames! LOL

Right! 🙂

I would say your trip was worth it for the frames! I wonder if frames are on sale here. If the weather is decent tomorrow I may go check….I had my second vaccine yesterday, may have built up some resistance. If I feel ok in the morning!
Judy Laquidara says
These weren’t on sale . . as in the sale brochure . . they were just clearance priced.

Hobby Lobby has stopped their 40% off coupon. What were they thinking? I need that coupon, This frugal person is suffering. But, I still love to shop at Hobby Lobby.
Judy Laquidara says
It makes me sad! There was always something I needed that I could use the coupon for
