Yesterday I had not even checked my Informed Delivery to see what was supposed to be coming so I was surprised to open the mail box and see a box full! I’ve really not been ordering much but there were things on Etsy that were pre-orders and some things from 123Stitch had been back ordered and they all kinda arrived at once. I was surprised to see them.
This is a Cross-Eyed Cricket pamphlet from maybe 1989. I saw it on a floss tube and loved the lady knitting directly from the sheep. It made me smile. It wasn’t terribly easy to find but I found it on ebay and it wasn’t outrageously priced.
This is the new Aged Hazelnut linen (left). You can see it’s not as dark as the one I had previously. Same dyer. Different count. The one on the right is 40 count, the one on the left is 36 count. Almost always, different counts dye up a bit differently. I love that the new piece has some lines through it and a bit of color variations. I still love the darker one too.
This book is basically a history of embroidery work done in Colonial Boston. It is amazing – the photos and the stories. I am going to save this for reading when we’re on a trip to Louisiana soon. I sometimes see our era as so much more advanced than those generations that came before us but when you see the handiwork and skill from some of those folks, it’s pretty amazing.
My first punch needle kit. I have to get floss but I’m excited to try this.
All Joys for Thine from Blackbird Design. Love these colors!
Hannah Ann Wallace Sampler from With Thy Needle & Thread. I had wanted this one and then talked myself out of it a few times so I’m happy to have it and will be happier to get it stitched.
The final one is Baby, It’s Cold Outside by Heartstring Samplery. Who doesn’t love sitting by a fireplace and watching it snow?
I need more hours in my day for stitching. It’s funny because when we looked at this house, I had planned to repaint the dining room because I didn’t want red and when I look at so much of what I have to hang on the walls and so much of what I’ve ordered to stitch, there’s a lot of red. At least for now, the red dining room stays red.
I think I have a bit of fabric yet to arrive but this is almost the end of the charts. I ordered one last week when Cross Stitching Supplies was having a sale and it hasn’t arrived yet but I think that’s it for now.

Ooh I do love it when a load of goodies arrive, feels like Christmas!

Good that they arrived before your husband. But I bet his eagle eyes notice the new items any way!

Clearly we’re watching the same Flosstubes because I recognize that Cross-Eyed Cricket pattern and the book. 🙂

Clearly! Brenda & The Serial Starter, right? I can’t remember. All I remember are the things I want to buy. Someone needs to take my computer away. Flosstubes are so darned expensive to watch! But, isn’t that knitter knitting right off the sheep cute”
