If anyone had been receiving my blog posts in your email and still is not, you probably need to sign up for those again if you want to receive them. I’ve heard from enough readers that things are back to normal and they are receiving the posts in email so, if you were, and now you’re not, there’s probably an issue that isn’t going to fix itself.
Also, someone had commented during this incident that they usually receive several emails per day. I always thought it was one digest that was sent in the evening. Shows what I know! I was chatting with a reader this morning and she told me she does get an email every time I post so . . never listen to me, even when it’s about something you think I should know about!
It will be weeks before I trust this blog again. Every time I go to read comments, I hold my breath .. expecting to see lots of comments needing approval. Every time hit “Publish”, I hold my breath waiting to see if it’s going to go through.
I should not be so invested in this blog but when it isn’t working correctly, it’s like a big chunk of my life is broke.
Over a year ago I switched to Dreamhost for my hosting and even though, I think my issues arose out of a migration issue on their end but I’m not 100% sure, they were totally awesome about getting it fixed and walking me through some steps I had to do on my end . . things I should have known how to do and didn’t.
The poor guy talking to me on the phone . . he told my I had to sign into my Dreamhost . . what do you call it?? Almost like “portal” but not that. Dashboard . . I think that’s what he called it. I said “Do I have to type in my password because I have no idea what it is?” I’m sure at that point, he wanted to say “Granny, it could be time for you to find another way to entertain yourself!” Thankfully, the first password I typed worked. I do have a “coded” password book . . in Texas!
Everything appears to be working fine now so I’ll stop inviting trouble and enjoy that it seems to be ok.

I just get one notice in the evening that lists all your posts since the last email notice.

Hi
I am so excited to have had an email saying my linen from xju design is on its way and I can track it from Hungary. You have inspired me to take up cross stitch after a 20 year break! Now I have always worked with Aida and feel I need to try linen. Any tips for a virgin in linen ? Do I use a hoop ? Have ordered 38 count ! Help anyone please .

Sent you an email.

I also get one email in the evening with that days post.

Up until this week (when e-mails stopped coming), I got an e-mail every time there was a new blog post. Since I signed up again, I get one digest with all the blog posts for the day. I’m guessing this is the new way (I did try to see if there was a way to get individual posts, but didn’t find an option for that).
Fingers crossed the blog won’t cause anymore issues.

This is same for me.

I don’t get the individual ones any more, but I still get the summary ones, so it’s all good – it’s actually something I kept meaning to ask about but now it’s fixed itself. =)

Not sure what I’m going to get as now my email isn’t cooperating/opening! I had been getting each post as you posted, hoping that is still what I will get. Meanwhile, your blog is a big part of many lives “out here”!! When our grandson got chickens, I sent him to your blog for advice. Our sons and DDILs know about you and your blog. I do have to admit though, in a conversation with one of them recently, he finally said, ‘Mom, I’m confused, are they in MO or TX?’! LOL Clyde and I have enjoyed you greatly through the years, both of you!
Judy Laquidara says
Tell them half the time I’m confused too. I’ll say “I don’t have that .. it’s still at home” and then I have to ask myself . . where do I consider home these days? You & Clyde have been great friends through the years.
