Self-Incrimination

We seem to have the ability to find the worst places for cell phone service. It is better in MO than it was in TX but probably most anywhere is better than what we had in Texas. Vince has learned that when I don’t answer the phone, that means it isn’t ringing on my end and then he’ll call me on Facebook.

The other night, I was sitting and stitching when he called. Instead of a regular phone call, he had it as a video call and in the process of answering the phone and getting everything I was doing put down, he noticed the cross stitch piece I was working on (the pink house). He wanted to see it and he was surprised I was able to stitch that because when he left, he was cross stitching and I still hadn’t figured out what fabric to use, what floss to use, where to start, etc.

I moved the phone to where he could see the whole thing.

He said “Oh, you have a fancy new frame, I see!” Yes, I do. Didn’t mention that there were several of those around here.

Then, in the process of moving the phone back to where we could talk, he saw the magnifying lamp. He said “I see you have a new lamp too!” Yes, I do. Didn’t mention there were several of those around here too.

Having the right tools needed is important. If he wants to cross stitch, he can use one of my lamps but I’m not sure about the frames. I’ll share only til he decides if that’s what he likes and then we’ll order his own for him because I like to keep several projects on the frames so I don’t have to (1) work on the same thing all the time and (2) keep taking them off the frame and putting them back on.

By the time he gets back here, he will have been gone almost four months. I don’t think we’ll have to get used to being together again but he probably will squawk a bit about some of the things I’ve bought and . . some of the things he’ll never see so he won’t squawk about those. 🙂
