Friday evening Addie and I had planned to make brownies and since we ended up cooking at home, we ate a bit later than if we had eaten out while near Addie’s home so we never were hungry from brownies.
Tonight we decided we’d skip dinner and have brownies, ice cream, whipped cream and cherries.
We’re having fun but it’s probably a good thing she hasn’t been here a whole lot during the pandemic.

fruit, dairy, grains – sounds like a nutritious meal to me!!!
however…
one of our favorite breakfasts is sliced fruit (canned peaches or pears) topped with cereal ( usually frosted flakes) and a scoop of ice cream, so maybe you shouldn’t listen to me…

You forget that brownies are chocolate and chocolate is a bean so therefore it is a protein. And the flour is a grain . A perfectly square meal. Just saying.

You’re a good gran. I had a great aunt who would let me do stuff like this every now and again, and I thought it was so much fun. You are building wonderful memories for Addie!

Dessert for dinner is one of the fun kind of things that Grandma can do with the grandchildren (and get away with it). It makes special memories!

Once years ago when our daughter and family were visiting from Portland, we were out of milk for breakfast one morning. The two granddaughters have talked ever since about the time I let them have ice cream with their breakfast cereal. Memories!
