The little fabric pots arrived today so I went down and planted 14 trees. I think it was 16 because a couple of the elderberries were tiny and I planted them together. Those one gallon pots are tiny too. I had forgotten how small one gallon pots are. Two of the elderberries were really big so I planted them in a bed on the side of the house. If Vince doesn’t want them there, he can move them. They won’t take off growing (I hope) in one month.
I took my phone down with me to take a picture but I forgot so I took this one off the deck looking down at the pots. I’ll get a better picture. I didn’t have a potting table downstairs and I was bending over, scooping soil out with a glass . . not ideal. I miss having all my tools and things I need but I’ll get it all set up some day.
It was 68 degrees, sunny and a gorgeous day to be outside. This is the kind of day I’d be out chomping at the bit to plant a garden in Texas.

Chomping at the bit, but playing with fire to plant more than lettuce this early in Missouri! LOL

The trees are fine. I will plant potatoes in pots I can bring in and I’m only planting them because they’re some I have that have sprouted.
