As I had mentioned yesterday morning, I planned to work on Pet All The Dogs all day but that didn’t happen.
The house on the chart called for Classic Colorworks Ginger Snap which is close to an ecru with just a tad of a pink tint and it wasn’t going to show up well on my fabric to the peachy pink for the house, which is Gentle Arts Raspberry Frost. The main part of the house stitching was done but the called for color for the door and the dormer was Weeks Baked Apple, which is red . . a deep red. I love the color but it didn’t look so great wit the pinkish house. I was thinking gray or a lavender-gray but when I pulled the rose pink floss, I loved it with the house.
I wanted to stitch the door to make sure I liked it. I did! Then I decided to stitch the trim around the windows and start the roof.
I got 427 stitches done yesterday. I’m now 20% finished. Seems like I should be more but who am I to argue with a computer. Also, I am not doing math and guessing at how many more days it will take me to finish but, I will say this: The last time I worked on this, I ended being 16.5% finished. I did 3.5% yesterday. I have 80% left to go so . . that’s a lot of days of stitching.
This seems like a fairly small piece. I’d better stop buying charts or start stitching faster.
Today I’m going to finish that one side of the roof and then work on Pet All The Dogs.
