From time to time, I check Hobby Lobby’s website to see what frames or finishing tools I could use for cross stitching that might be on sale. I’m not far from their warehouse, or at least one of them, so my orders often arrive the next day or, the next day. I didn’t even know Fed Ex delivered on Sunday and they showed up today with the Hobby Lobby box of stuff I had ordered Friday. Nice!
The large heart is the one Teresa Kogut used for “You Are Worthy”. It was on sale for $3.50. The small heart was on sale for $2.49. I ordered the supplies to re-finish the metal hearts like she did.
This frame is more green . . more yellowy green, than it appears and I love it. It’s 8 x 10 so it will surely be good for something cross stitched. It was on sale for $9.99.
This one is kinda metal looking but I have chalk paints and colored wax so I’ll change the color of it to something I like better. It’s 4 x 6 and it was on sale for $6.49 so I’m sure it will be useful for something too.
It’s nice to have a few frames around so I can manipulate the size of the cross stitched piece to match a frame I want to use. I can add or take away borders, use a higher or lower count thread.
I need to stitch faster! 🙂

You’ll be ready for framing all those projects!!! When you figure out how to stitch faster, let us know how you did that, LOL.

Judy, I would like for you to share how you frame your Cross Stitched items! Is tha5mpossible?
Judy Laquidara says
It is possible because everything is possible but . . this will be the first time I’ve ever done it so you may not really want to see it! 🙂

I’m sure there is a you tube video 🙂

Plenty of them. They all seem to do things differently so I plan to take some tips from one, some from others and do it the way it makes sense to me.

Have you come upon “Stitching with the Housewives” on FB. They will change your stitching life. I have lots of framed XS, framed on my walls or in the closet to pull out for the appropriate holiday. Their frameless way of decorating with XS has me contemplating XS all over again. They also have a podcast I believe, on Saturdays.
Judy Laquidara says
Yes. They were some of the first ones I saw but most of what they do is a bit more whimsical and cutesy that will work in our house.
