This morning my first Misfits box arrived. I asked the Fed Ex guy if he delivers a lot of that and he said YES! There are several companies that have veggies, as well as some that send out entire meal kits and he said they seem to be very popular.
I had to laugh at myself. I don’t think it’s normal to get so excited over a box of groceries.
I was happy with what I got. Was it cheaper than grocery store prices? No. But, it’s all supposed to be organic and I don’t usually buy organic.
I’m going to start rough on the left and go across:
- 5 medium red potatoes
- 2 large bundles of kale
- 6 pears
- 4 baking potatoes
- 2 zucchini
- 5 parsnips
- 3 green apples (probably Granny Smith)
- 4 Yukon Gold potatoes
- 2 purple onions
- 2 grapefruit
Towards the back:
- Spaghetti Squash
- Snow Peas
Everything looked great . . nothing wrong with any of it.
So far, I ate a pear, and used one zucchini, two parsnips and cauliflower or lunch.
I cooked a meatloaf out of the freezer and baked it. The cauliflower was cooked using the sous vide, then roasted under the broiler with cheese.
This was parsnips, carrots, zucchini and onion. Delicious. Almost like I picked it all out of my own garden.
That was a yummy meal . . if I do say so myself! I’m so happy I love to cook and don’t mind cooking just for myself.
