I’ve mentioned before that there are a handful of cross stitch designers that I love. When I re-started cross stitching, I already knew about Blackbird Designs, Brenda Gervais and The Prairie Schooler, and they are still some of my favorites. I didn’t know about Teresa Kogut but, oh, my . . she moved to the top of my list within a matter of minutes. I love her designs, I love the way she thinks, I love how she loves her family.
She is on Patreon and I don’t know how you even say it . . a Patreon page, a Patreon account . . I don’t know. There are four (I think) levels and each level gets monthly chart(s) and coloring pages that can be used as punch needle projects and as you go to higher levels, you also get what is offered to the levels below you. I’ve looked at Patreon before and there were people I considered signing up with but never did . . til I found Teresa Kogut.
You know that I have routines and I have to do what’s on my list before I can do anything else. Monday, Wednesday and Friday I vacuum the upstairs, dust mop the wood floors and clean the bathrooms upstairs. Tuesday and Thursdays I do laundry and dust (some on Tuesday and some on Thursday . . not everything both days – don’t want to overwork myself). Those are the main chores that I have to stay on top of.
Vince texts me when he wakes up so I know he’s ok. I looked at my phone this morning and had an email that Teresa Kogut had posted a new video for patreon members about finishing “You Are Worthy“. My chores might have been a little faster than normal because I couldn’t wait to get to that vide!
The link above is to You Are Worthy on 123 Stitch but the sample I’ve seen on Teresa’s pages (which is not shown at 123 Stitch) is mounted on a corrugated metal heart that Teresa patinaed (I bet that’s not a word!) She painted it and used a spray to make it have a patina effect. Anyway . . the sample was done on 32 count Jack-O-Lantern Linen from XJuDesigns. On that size linen, it was almost too big for the heart so I ordered 36 count and 40 count linen. I love it and will use one for this project and one for something else.
There are many linen dyers out there and I have only tried a few but so far, I love XJu’s the best. In fact, I signed up or their “surprise” linen Fabric of the month club. They’re in Hungary so it takes a while to get here but many shops carry their linen.
Most shops carry Teresa Kogut’s charts but she also has an etsy store (discounts for Patreon members) and you can see a lot of her work there, though her newest things that will be released next week aren’t on there yet.
My chores are done, I’ve spent more than I should have this morning so I’m parking myself in my chair and stitching the rest of the day.

I also like her designs – and I had to check out I am Worthy – and oh my! It is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing it!
