I haven’t worked on “A House Is . . ” since Wednesday. I know . . it’s only Friday, but yesterday I worked on the January Farmhouse Christmas square and will continue working on that today and maybe through the weekend because Monday is March 1. Once I finish the first block/square, I’m going to go ahead and work on some of the borders, then start on the second block on March 1.
I did get the house finished except for the door, the roof, the window trim . . not very finished at all, am I? 🙂 I love my peachy pink house.
I’m now 16.49% finished with it. 2,000 stitches made so far. 10,132 stitches let to go. I probably shouldn’t look at how many I have left to go.
Wednesday I did 254 stitches. My goal is to do 300 stitches each day, which hasn’t happened yet. Doing a kind of solid area, like a house, goes much faster than a border area but I have so much going on . . 254 stitches may be the most I’ve done in any day.
Thinking about it differently, even if I did 200 stitches per day, I could be finished with this in six days . . if I could do 300 stitches per day, I could finish in about four days.
All that info comes from the Pattern Keeper app, which is only available for Android at this time (or, the last time I heard). I love it and I wish I could buy all my patterns as pdfs. I think the last update has a provision for taking a picture of a paper chart and importing it but I haven’t tried that yet. Maybe I should since most everything else I’m working on is a paper chart.

ummm, your math is a bit off there. 10,132 divided by 300 is 33+ . sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Ughh! I like my math better than yours! 🙂
That’s what I get for doing it in my head. OK . . I may not get it done in six days but I surely hope it doesn’t take me 33 days but it probably will.

I am sorry I rained on your parade.

No problem. I may not get back to stitching on it for a few days and by then, I would have forgotten that I should be done with it in 3 days but, thanks to you, I’ll ALWAYS remember! 🙂 Seriously, I thought it was funny. That kind of stuff doesn’t bother me. I knew you were laughing and . . I was so far off, I’m glad you pointed it out.
But part of me (a very small part) wants me to work on it day and night just to prove that I could have done it in three days. How’s that or bull headed?? 🙂
