It was a good Thursday.
My trash got picked up after missing two weeks of being picked up, thanks to ice and snow. I felt bad for the trash guys because every can I could see (which is about 5) was overflowing with bags on the ground. They won’t usually pick up bags on the ground but they did, I guess because they couldn’t get here last week. The week before, there was ice on the driveway and I was too scared to try to walk out there. I would have done it if I had known they wouldn’t be able to make the rounds the next week.
I got my first ever grocery delivery from Walmart and it was perfect. Super nice lady. Right on time. Everything was perfect. Since I have bananas again, here’s my dinner:
Peanut butter and bananas with no chocolate! 🙂
Third, my new frame arrived today so I can get back to stitching on Pet All Dogs. This will be so much easier to have it going the right direction.
You can see how much longer it is than the one I’m using for A House Is . .
I wish I had about 10 of these frames so I could have all my projects on them . . ready and waiting for a few stitches. Some day I’ll have 10. I like the bigger size because I can put something smaller on them if needed but I can’t put bigger on the smaller frames.
I had not talked to Chad all week and he called this evening so we had a nice chat. I usually talk to him almost every day but I wait for him to call me because he’s busy so I enjoyed getting to talk with him.
My plan is to spend the rest of the day stitching. I want to finish up the January Farmhouse Christmas block but I won’t get it finished today.

I always feel bad for the garbage workers on holidays, because they work twice as hard on the day after. We have only once had a day when they couldn’t get to us, but I can usually go two weeks, so it wasn’t bad – though some people can’t say that. =)

I was ok missing the first week but not so much the second week though. My trash can lid wouldn’t close by the time they got here.

Get a pair of shoe ice cleats so you can have more traction on ice. Amazon has a good selection.
Tracy says
Hooray for new frames!
Judy Laquidara says
Yes. You see Pet All The Dogs is already loaded.

No, no, no,going out on icy ground. I have a friend who ventured out her garage door, slipped and broke her hip. All just prior to the weekend her son was getting married. She did not get to go. The mail and newspaper can wait. Teach your dog to fetch, hire the neighbor’s kiddo to bring things to your door. But, stay safe please.
Judy Laquidara says
I didn’t go out! That’s why my trash didn’t get picked up. I was able to put kitty litter down and make it across the driveway just a couple of steps to get Rita to grass. I think teaching an old blind dog to fetch is probably not going to happen. If it isn’t safe for me to be out, I’m not risking the liability of hiring anyone else to be out there doing things for me. No neighbors near me with kids. I only have three houses that I can see.
You never have to worry about me being safe. I am as safe as anyone you know.

Judy do you ever make a Grilled Peanut Butter and banana sandwich..Amazingly yummy!
Judy Laquidara says
I have not! Butter the bread and then use a skillet? Do you slice the bananas or mash them up? Thanks for that idea.

I’ve never grilled my bread. I just toast it d or my pb and banana sandwiches. So good!
