Vince is thankful to be in Texas for the next couple of weeks! He was reminding me this morning that this move to MO was all my idea so . . have fun!
We go from the night of the 8th to the 16th that it doesn’t get above freezing.
I’ve forgotten what it’s like to live where the weather does this so this morning I brought in to many cases of Dr. Pepper out of the garage. This afternoon I’ll start bringing in gallon jugs of water that we keep in the garage. I don’t worry about a couple of nights of freezing but days of tempts staying below freezing and things will freeze in the garage.
The bigger problem is that the floors on the main level are either wood or carpet except for the bathrooms so I have to bring the water downstairs because I don’t want to leave it sitting on wood floors in case it leaks. It shouldn’t but . . I’m not willing to take that chance.
I will get my exercise over the next few days.

Put them in a bathtub or shower you normally do not use!
Judy Laquidara says
The master bath has a big jacuzzi that I don’t use by myself but it’s too hard to get the water in and out of. The master shower . . I use. The second shower on the main level is Addie’s tub/shower combo and I use that tub when I take a bath. I’m just going to leave everything where I put it til the danger of this happening again is over and she’ll be here again before then.

As the saying goes. Be careful what you wish for. Especially in the cold winters.
Judy Laquidara says
I just want snow . . not all this really extreme stuff but . . who listens to me? 🙂
Linda B says
Perfect stitching and tea weather!
Marcie says
Brought in from the garage the cans and bottles of pop/beer today also, as we are to get lows below zero.
Judy Laquidara says
I just realized I still have milk in boxes out there that I need to bring in. After this, I think we’ll store all this kind of stuff in the downstairs garage that’s air conditioned and heated.
Stephani in N. TX says
Do you have a fridge in your garage? If so, you could just keep beverages and water there.
Judy Laquidara says
46 gallons of water, 3 packs of 24 smaller bottles of water and 13 – 12 packs of Dr. Pepper. I do have a fridge in the garage but it’s fairly full and not nearly big enough to hold all that.
Elle says
Hopefully once Vince arrives the garage can get insulated so you won’t have to deal with this anymore. We no longer have anything freeze unless right near the big door.
Cindy F says
Take care! That’s a lot of stuff to move! Good that you have an option to store it downstairs in the future.
Linda in NE says
Our daytime highs are supposed to be in the single digits from Sunday to the following Sunday. I was afraid to look at what the lows are supposed to be.
Nelle Coursey says
Give him a hard time next Wednesday when the high is supposed to be 27!! I bet he shuts up then! I don’t know how many days it is supposed to last but it is at least 3 or 4. They are saying this will be the lowest temps for the winter!
