I think it was Tuesday when I started Pet All Dogs. This is how much I have done . . not much!
There are two issues with this piece.
First, because Farmhouse Christmas is on my longer rollers, I had to turn Pet All Dogs sideways. I struggle with doing things that aren’t the way I always do them. I always work left to right with the piece upright. I did that with quilts too. When I’d have to turn a quilt lengthwise on the longarm, I would almost make myself sick trying to quilt it. Maybe it’s a bit of OCD . . I don’t know. Once we had gotten our vehicles in the wrong spot and I asked Vince to move his car to his side of the garage because it was frustrating to me to walk out and his car be where my car was supposed to be. He couldn’t figure out why it mattered . . but it did. In this house, every single bath tub and shower faces opposite from where it faced in Texas. When I get in our shower, if I’m facing out, the shower head should be on the right, but it’s on the left. When you walk into Addie’s bathroom, the faucets are on the left end of the tub and they were on the right in Texas. Every single time I go into one of those bathrooms, I want to call a plumber but that is never going to happen.
Anyway . . you can imagine how hard it is for me to stitch something that’s loaded backwards from what I’ve done with the previous pieces. One was A Good Marriage, the second is Farmhouse Christmas, the third is the one I started for New Year’s and I can’t even remember the name. So .. the fourth one is backwards! I did order two longer sets of rollers and they were in stock but the end bars weren’t so I don’t know if the shop is going to send the rollers or wait for the end bars.
The second thing with Pet All Dogs . . I started with the outer border and struggled with doing the diagonal stitching. I just couldn’t get it right. I think I’ve got it now but we’ll see when I pick it back up if I really have it down.
My plan is to work on Farmhouse Christmas during the week til it’s done, and work on Pet All Dogs on weekends. Once my Farmhouse Christmas square is done, I’ll start working on Pet All Dogs full time.

I’m having trouble with my first ever dishwasher that is located to the left of the sink in my new house. First of all, I’m righthanded, and loading with my weaker left hand means I’m dripping water and don’t have the best control of wet slippery dishes. I’m learning to get the upper hand, but I’m glad there aren’t too many things opposite to what I am used to.

It’s so hard to teach that left hand to be useful! Good luck!

Can you give me the link where you found the table top roller? I used to use a hoop but my hand isn’t as strong as it once was so I think the table top would be better. Unless you had another suggestion. Thanks.
