Short of some kind of really weird day . . which I never rule out . . this piece is going to be finished today!
I am almost halfway finished with the very last row of stitching, then comes the row of leaves and blocks which I expect to go rather quickly. I will put a few stitches in Farmhouse Christmas, just to say I started it on February 1 but it isn’t getting my full attention til A Good Marriage is finished.
For those who may not know, in cross stitching there is an FO and an FFO. An FO (finished object) means the stitching is done. An FFO (fully finshed object), which I recently learned about, means it is done! It is ready to display. It has been framed, made into a pillow or whatever . . nothing ever needs to be done to it again. When I say I will finish this today, that means the stitching will be done. I’ll still have to figure out what I’m going to do with it. I have a plan but I’ll have to see what size it is once the stitching is completed.

Your project is looking really good and you’ll enjoy it so much hanging on a wall. I have an FO hanging out right now just waiting to be framed.

I have a small FO that is one of a set of five designs. I don’t want to make it an FFO until I get the other four done. That may or may not happen before I retire from full time work in about a year and a half. 🙂

Your title made me laugh. Your good marriage is not over! Your sampler will be. ? And I thought the whiskey and collards was funny too. I could just hear some college kid explaining, no, Mom, those are floss colors, not a grocery list. Happy Monday, you made me smile twice already.

I hadn’t heard FO vs FFO before, but it really applies to my current large XS project that will be a surprise gift. I will want to get the recipient’s feedback before choosing a frame and possible mat. Of course, that could be a year out, and that is with juggling quilting and knitting, but I’m bumping this XS way up on the priority list. Thanks for sharing this tidbit, which is perfectly logical!
