Sous Vide Cooking

Cross Stitched Sled Ornaments

I haven’t used the sous vide this past week. Chad has been using his and reporting all the things he’s made. He put a big chuck roast in the smoker for a couple of hours to get the smokey flavor, then cooked it all day in the sous vide and he said it was so delicious.

Today I’m cooking two bags of rice – one for Rita’s food with no seasoning and one for my food with butter and salt. I’m also cooking chicken breasts for Rita’s food so three things in there.

I was pretty impressed with the rice I cooked for Rita’s food last time and I’m picky about my rice.

For this week’s menu, I think I need rice for two meals and I don’t mind cooking it ahead and reheating it so I’ll have that much done.
