A Busy Morning

Late Breakfast or Early Lunch

Last night Boots slept in the sewing room – not his choice! Vince always calls me before he goes to bed, which is about 9:30. My normal going to bed time is around midnight (or later). He called me at 9:30 last night and said goodnight. Then I decided .. heck, I’m tired. I’m going to go to bed and watch flosstubes for a while . . which was about 5 minutes before I wanted to go to sleep. Then, it seemed like midnight but it was only a little after 10 – Vince called. He had decided he wasn’t sleepy and stayed up and was surprised to find me sleeping.

It was so nice to sleep til the alarm went off this morning without being awakened by a cat. Sorry for Boots but uninterrupted sleep rates high on my priority list. I set the alarm because I had a 7 – 8 a.m. time slot for picking up groceries this morning. Walmart had everything I had ordered except Italian sausage, which I had for a meal not this coming week but the next week. I usually only pick up groceries every two weeks so I’ll have to move that meal back for a while.

Got groceries and came home and got them all put away. There were only two things that had to be repackaged.

I bought smoked turkey necks for seasoning the beans and a package of thighs for the chicken tacos. I divided those up and put three per package and put two packages in the freezer and saved the remaining two thighs for cooking either tomorrow or Tuesday.

I bought a package of breasts and I cut one up to make the Honey Sesame Chicken and am cooking the other two for Rita’s food.

Otherwise, it was all veggies, eggs, cheese and milk. No ice cream or cookies or cake – just real food today.
