Since about all I did yesterday was cross stitch, there’s not much else to talk about! I did take a nap but there was nothing blogworthy about that.
One thing quite newsworthy is that Boots can open the bedroom door! I’m hoping it was an accident and not something he can really do but we have those elongated door handles and I saw him on the nightstand by the door and was going to get him off the nightstand and he just reached his little paw over, turned the handle and was gone. I think it was pretty easy to do as an accident. I never put him in the bedroom to close him up . . wait . . I wonder what kinds of handles are on the sewing room doors? I’m going to assume it was an accident until I see it happen again.
I did get close to two rows stitched yesterday but that was almost an entire day and late into the night of cross stitching and not much else. I can’t do that every day so I think I’ll count on getting one row per day done and will assume there will be some days I don’t even get that much done.
There are 12 rows plus the bottom border. I’ve done two rows so there are 10 rows of words and the border. I’m going to hope to have it finished by the end of January. That gives me 14 days. Just in time to start Farmhouse Christmas!

You motivated me to get back to stitching! I’m working on a Crabapple Hill Studio pattern called Dance by the Light of the Moon. It’s a Halloween quilt pattern that I just love, composed of embroidery panels and quilt blocks. I barely got it started several years ago, when I put it aside to work on my many other projects. I decided that while we’re sitting in the evening watching tv I can get some stitching in! Been doing it for the past few nights. I have so many Crabapple Hill patterns, and I love each and every one of them. It’s time to start working them up instead of just looking at them!

Great work Judy, looks fabulous

That looks fabulous. I didn’t get much done yesterday as I decided to change out a thread that blended into the background to much. It took me almost all day to pick another color that I thought would look good.

Looks wonderful!
Will be interesting to see if Boots repeats “door opening”. We did have a little Tuxedo cat (she only weighed 7 pounds at her heaviest – she also had a thyroid problem) who could open the cupboards by sticking her paw at the corner of the door and would pull it open.

Your stitching is beautiful, Vince will be so impressed. Is he stitching in Texas?
Judy Laquidara says
No. I’ll be surprised if he has time to try it while there. I think he left all his kits here.

I don’t know if you remember the green cardigan I started several years ago or not, but I misplaced the pattern. I found the book on Ebay and ordered it. I now have the back finished (it was almost finished) and I have the right side almost finished. I thought it was cables but it is cross overs. I don’t know if I did two of the same pattern the same way! LOL

You are really making progress. I have thread coming on tomorrow and a few more things, but enough to start my stitch along with you. I have one more skein of thread coming to finish up the kit. I think that is it. Or maybe not. I have 3 orders out there, I am trying to remember where they are all coming from. I am trying to figure out a way to go pick up my new to me frames.
Judy Laquidara says
I can’t wait for you to get the frame and tell me about it.

Yes, with the elongated door handles, Boots can open doors. Those things are just too easy. I’ve had a couple cats that knew how to turn the water on in the tub. Thank goodness the faucet handles turned too hard, but they tried. Also knew that the knob had to be turned to open doors, only ours are the old-fashioned round knob. Sometimes animals are just too smart for their own good.
Judy Laquidara says
I didn’t think about doors leading outside. Every door in this house has handles. I really think he accidentally did it but I’ll pay close attention. I knew cats would turn on faucets. Even our bathroom sink faucets are all handles so he could easily do it if he figured it out. We’ll have to be sure to keep the bathroom doors closed if we leave him loose in the house.

What are some of the sites you order your cross stitch from?
Judy Laquidara says
My go to site for floss is Cross Stitching Supplies.
For fabric, it mostly comes from 123 Stitch.
I really like the lady at Cross Stitching Supplies. She’s super fast with shipping and has free shipping after $25. She’s trying to get more fabrics. Everything is hard to get these days it seems.
