Another Stitching Report

Grocery Day

I won’t show the progress on this every day but here’s what I have done as of last night.

It’s actually straight. It’s amazing how badly I can screw up a photo. I’ve changed up some of the colors. The “must be created” was supposed to be a goldy tan but I wanted it to be a bit darker so it stands out. Also the “Marriage” word took a lot of floss and I don’t think I’m going to have enough of that one. It’s one of the colors that’s hard to get so I’m going to add another color – probably an olive. That will give me five colors to use or the words so I shouldn’t run out of any color.

Today I’d love to finish that row and get two more done. That still puts me behind where I had hoped to be but . . it’s not a race so I’m just enjoying the stitching but hoping to stay focused and get it done.

Whatever I’m doing (cooking/quilting/knitting/embroidery, etc.) seems to take SO much longer than I think it should.

For the past year, I’ve been “trying” to finish several UFO’s and each one I pull out, I think I should be able to finish it lickety-split BUT, the progress seems SO slow. I have a feeling that’s why I have so many UFO’s. I get/got tired of working on them and just put them back in a bag to do “later”.

Your progress on this sampler is looking great!

I feel it’s not a race but a journey to enjoy and perhaps learn.

If it’s DMC you are short on, it’s likely I would have what you need. Will send if it is, let me know.

I love seeing your work in progress even if it is every day. This is going to be beautiful when it is finished. It has already started out that way!
