Ravencliff Progress

The Spy Report

Ravencliff is the last of three test knits I’ve worked on in the past month. As it always seems to be when life gets a bit crazy, I had no idea this time was going to be as crazy it has been for the past couple of weeks. Since life doesn’t always give us a warning ahead of time, we sometimes just have to keep on keeping on. A couple of times, when the meltdowns almost happened, I’ve thought of saying “I just can’t meet the deadline” which is January 15. But then I tell myself . . I always finish what I start and I always do what I say I’ll do (unless I forget!).

It felt good to put the cross stitching aside last night, watch some flosstubes and do some fairly mindless knitting. I see progress so much faster with knitting, especially when using worsted weight yarn.

No matter where I try to take a picture, I can’t capture the gorgeous colors in this yarn. I probably took 20 pictures yesterday trying to get the true colors. It drizzled just about all day and when I would notice the rains had stopped, by the time I gathered up the piece, grabbed my phone and got outside, it had started raining again.

I’m almost sorry I’m using this yarn for a shawl because it would be a gorgeous sweater but it’s going to be a gorgeous shawl.

There are purples and green that actually may be grays but they’re looking green because of the purple. I think it’s supposed to be overcast all day today so maybe when it stops raining, I can go outside and get a better picture. I just love the colors.

I need to find some longer cables because it’s getting kinda scrunched up on the cables. Therefore, I can’t get a decent picture but for tomorrow’s picture, I’ll have it on longer cables.

Today I plan to sit and knit all day! Other than getting one load of laundry done and a meal or two for me . . it’s knitting only today!

I’m so glad to see your knitting again–I was thinking you had totally switched to cross stitch! I’m still knitting that endless baby blanket!

The colors that show up in that picture make that yarn look so attractive. I like it.

That looks like a calming knit to do. I think I would enjoy it and can’t wait for the pattern to be released. That yarn is amazing. Would love to know the brand and color name. Enjoy the knitting time today!

While A Sheep at the Wheel is having their going out of business sale, maybe you should try to find some of the cables you need. I saw they have Chia Goo on sale! I thought they had some good prices!
