This morning I noticed Boots sitting in front of the door.
He was looking up at the transom window and I know he was calculating in his little head if (1) he could jump that high and (2) if the ledge was side enough for his big butt to sit up there.
I’m thankful he decided against trying that.
I think he’s ruled out jumping onto the ceiling fan and hopefully decided jumping to the window above the door is a bad idea.

Either that or he’s talking to a ghost! My dog does that! They can see spirits that we can’t..

My house is Circa 1750 and I know we have 1 female spirit. Others have felt her and heard her. There are orbs in one bedroom…..several of them. My dogs know when she is downstairs. I’ve named her Tillie. I don’t know why…it just popped into my head and out thru my mouth one day when I was talking to her.

Can you give him enough space at the bottom of a side window to see out? Raise the curtain 12″ and put a small pillow there?
We’re at the cabin and there are no windows our cat can see out. I feel bad for her. She has been sitting on the back of the couch but the roof unloaded last night and not the snow is too high to see over. So it’s snow and sky now. Poor kitty. That’s life at the cabin until mid April now.

LOL, you aren’t trying to TRAIN a cat, are you???

I think he may have decided against that idea and who knows, he may have tried it already!

Hope he doesn’t do like my daughter’s cats. They used to scale the curtains to get to the top to look out the transom. They are Siamese and real stinkers. She finally took them down and put that frosted film in the windows.

He may very well be able to jump that high, at least once for a real peek up there! My (very chubby) cat can leap from the floor to the top of the refrigerator with very little effort & she’s 8 years old now. The 2 cats we had before her could do it too (I don’t keep a live plant up there anymore for just that reason). Glad to see Boots is settling in & exploring some more, that’s good for him, keeps his brain engaged instead of the typical sleep all day thing.
