First, I know some of you are having trouble commenting. I’m fixing to do a WordPress update and hope that solves the problem. If not . . give it a few days. I haven’t changed anything so whatever the problem is, it will probably be fixed somewhere behind the scenes.
Mom and Dad both sound bad – raspy voice, stuffy . . but they say they don’t feel horrible. Mom had a pretty bad headache yesterday and went to bed early, but I think that’s normal for them (going to bed early). Dad apparently had some fever during the night because mom said he was freezing all night and it wasn’t cold in the house. In fact, they had used their air conditioner during the afternoon.
I have heard that it’s common to feel halfway decent in the beginning to we’re being cautiously optimistic.

Judy, send them a pulse oximeter and have them check every 6 hours while awake. If they get down to 92 they should call their doctor for next steps.

Sending warm and comforting thoughts your way for those who have gone ahead. Also prayers for your parents and that they will soon recover. It’s been a horrible year for them and those that love them.

I’m so sorry to hear about your parents, and I’m sending kind thoughts your way. Yours is one of the blogs I read from start to finish, and although I don’t usually comment, I do want you to know how much I enjoy the antics of your family! I hope you all have a happy new year.

My thoughts are with you and your parents Judy. I feel very fortunate that our government in Australia has been very vigilant in getting this virus under control in our country. I can’t imagine how worried I would feel if my parents contracted it. I will keep your Mum and Dad in my thoughts and prayers and hope for a speedy recovery for them.
Kind regards
Kellie

I’m with Elle about getting them an O2 sat. monitor. Also, week 2 is worse than week1. Took my very healthy spouse 18 days to start feeling better. I hope someone is nearby to assist them and monitor things.

The headache is very common along with the loss of taste and smell. Hopefully, they can drink plenty of water to flush the virus. Sending prayers; it is so scary and the family feels so helpless.
