This is the project Denise and I are doing together and wanted to invite any of our cross stitching friends to join us. The pattern is called Farmhouse Christmas by Little House Needleworks. It is gorgeous and you can see it on the link and there’s more info there about it. It’s actually nine separate patterns (though some of the shops sell them in a bundle while others you have to buy them individually).
If anyone is interested in joining Denise and me and doing these through 2021 and hopefully having it finished in time for Christmas next year, we’d love to have friends stitching with us.
- This will be done together but yet independently through my blog and Denise’s blog. We will both talk about it on our blogs but it will be separate conversations (Like . . she and I won’t be saying the same thing (or we may – we sometimes do without even knowing what the other is saying) — we’ll do our posts independently).
- There’s no deadline for anything. Work at your own pace.
- The pattern we will use is Farmhouse Christmas, a nine part pattern, by Little House Needleworks. We do respect copyright so no pattern sharing please!
- Patterns do not have to be finished in any particular order. You may do #1, then #6, etc. Do whatever makes you happy. If there’s one block you want to make . . make one block.
- The patterns may be hard to find so if you’re interested in participating, start looking now and order them when you find them.
- Even though you can buy each of the nine patterns individually, if you’re wanting to do the entire set, you may want to buy them all in advance. It may be even harder to find certain ones later.
- Fabric and floss may also be hard to find.
- Shipping is crazy. That’s all I’m going to say.
- Start date is February 1.
As of the writing of this blog, these are the places where I found all nine patterns are available. I’m sure there are other places so if you find another place that has all nine, please add it in the comments or send it to me and I will add it to this list.
Fat Quarter Shop
123stitch – You will have to add all nine individually. I didn’t see a package with all of them together.

Here’s a link to Denise’s blog post she did this morning. She has pictures because she already has her patterns.

I read Denise’s post first thing this morning so I have ordered the pattern set from Fat Quarter Shop, the floss from etsy and the fabric from amazon. So I’m ready! I ordered 28 ct cloth and hoping it won’t be too small.
Judy Laquidara says
What size did you get? I’ve never thought of ordering fabric from Amazon! Thanks!
Sherry Bobak says
Judy, do you already have a pattern and if so, can it be done on Aida fabric? I have never been able to do cross stitch over 2. I get too confused. Also the eyes aren’t so good anymore. Thanks
Judy Laquidara says
I do not have the pattern but Denise does and she has 16 count Aida coming so my answer to your question is . . I think Aida should work. Denise is a better cross stitcher than I am.

Everything is ordered (from two shops) so hopefully I will be joining in the stitching of this terrific design. Now to see how long USPS will take to get the orders to my post office box.
Elizabeth C Cunningham says
It has been quite awhile since I did counted cross stitch! But this has peaked my interest. I will be searching for supplies today!
Jennifer Breitenbach says
What fabric color and size is everyone using?
Judy Laquidara says
I’ll write a post first thing in the morning with what I hope will be helpful info.

I tagged you in Instagram on an alternative stitching layout for this other than the traditional 9 patch. Super cute!
Judy Laquidara says
OK. I so rarely go to Instagram . . not even sure I remember how to get it but I’ll see if I can figure it out. Thanks!
