When I bought this, my plan was for Addie and Vince to do this with Addie. He loves doing things like this . . I do not like it at all. This is fiddly and I’m not patient.
When he was here, we never got around to doing it so . . that means I’m helping with it.
Last night I told her I had something special for her to do this morning so when she got up, I had it sitting on her dresser. She was excited and I told her we’d do it after breakfast so she was happy to eat right off the bat.
We have the house together but now we’re waiting for the icing to dry a bit before we do more decorating. I told her there’s another one she can take home for her parents to do with her. They’re going to love me for that, especially after Chad has driven home from Detroit tomorrow.

That gingerbread house is too cute; I’ve never seen one like it. Enjoy the building!!

If the house doesn’t stay together, use hot glue. None eats it anyway. Have fun!

I could never find the chicken coop at the Tractor Supply stores around me. They had the barns and I bought 2 and took to grandchildren at Thanksgiving and they loved doing them. They were a bit fiddly but they had more patience than I did and didn’t mind it. Ate on them for a few days…..I cringed at wondering just how long those pieces had been made.

I could never do those!! Way too fiddly for me too! Pat always loved making model cars and airplanes. Maybe he could do one of these!

Well that is just too cute. I want Santa to bring me one.

I looked for one at my Tractor Supply but they didn’t have one. My grandkids made regular gingerbread houses but they would have loved the chicken coop since this is their first year for chickens.
