While watching Sheri from The Loopy Ewe’s Floss Tube (#6), she mentioned The Magic of Christmas to Cross Stitch. You know I had to order it and it arrived yesterday. Seems so weird to get mail on Sunday.
Unfortunately, the book is now out of stock but is supposed to be back in stock soon after Christmas.
I was tempted to grab some of the aida cloth we have here and get started on something but I have knitting that needs to be finished (yesterday!). There are larger and smaller projects – nothing looks terribly complicated but that’s easy for me to say since I haven’t tried cross stitching yet.
This book is like a coffee table book – one you would display and even non-cross stitchers would enjoy looking at the beautiful designs.

To send you further down the rabbit hole!!! Try looking on Amazon for used books I’ve gotten some for as little as $2 or $3 but you usually have to pay some small shipping even with Prime. But well below the cost of new ones, and even though they say used, all I’ve received have been in excellent condition. Also I’ve gotten several dvd’s with hundreds of patterns on them – easier to store than lots of books, magazines. The ones I got are Just Cross Stitch like 2001-2010 collection and one is only ornaments.

The only thing I cross stitch any more is the yearly Prairie Schooler Santa. One comes out every year and they started in 1984. I have finished alot of them and have some at framer now. I also have one this month and started another one last night. Look at them they are really nice. The pattern started out being 59 cents each the current ones are $5.00. lol Paula in KY

Thanks. I will check them out. How neat that you have the patterns from the early ones.
