Yesterday I was able to get photos of the Windows Wrap test knit. I will post here when the pattern is released.
It’s a long, straight wrap. No shaping. It was an easy knit and probably quick but I kinda stressed about the deadline. When I signed up for it, I had forgotten how much difference there is in my knitting time when Vince is here vs. when he’s in Texas. I’m not complaining – it’s just different. When he’s here, he wants me to run around with him, come look at this, come help him with that. Then there’s the cooking and . . oh, my goodness . . he came here with two pairs of jeans and two pairs of sweatpants. Every day he gets up and puts on sweatpants; then decides he’s going to go somewhere and changed into jeans, then comes home and puts on the clean pair of sweatpants so every day I have to wash. I offered to show him how to use the washer/dryer. No . . didn’t want to do that. It isn’t rocket science . . I figured it out on my own. I told him he had dang sure better bring more clothes next time he comes.
Another thing – Vince likes to go to bed early. I like to stay up late. We both get up about the same time but I get so much done late at night . . unless I’m in bed . . thinking about all I could be doing if I weren’t in bed!
WOW! Those post has wandered off down the wrong path!
So . . the project is very easy to knit and I think any a knitter at any level could knit this project.
The yarn I used, and the yarn suggested by the pattern is Miss Babs Caroline, which is 20% cashmere and quite wonderful.
I’m glad to have this finished and since this one is for me, I can’t wait to wear it!

That is one of the prettiest things you’ve knitted lately. I love the colors.

How much yarn did you use? I’ve been making a list for Miss Babs’ Gratitude Sale….
Judy Laquidara says
I used Caroline, which is 400 yards/90 grams. I used almost every bit of 2 skeins of the yellow (Jonquil) and really down to the last 10 or 15 yards of the multi colored skein (Ziggy Stardust). I was concerned about running out of yarn so I ordered an extra skein of each but didn’t need it. I used a 2.75 mm needle and if I were making it again, I think I’d go down to a 2.5 mm needle so that would save a bit of yarn and I wouldn’t have to sweat running out.

I really like this! It is a very pretty scarf. I thought it was going to be a cowl but I do like it as a scarf!

Very pretty! I like your colors and the pattern. It looks fairly easy, too.
Regarding the path your post went down…do you really wash clothes every single time you put them on? (Especially for things worn only around the house). The only things I do that with are underwear and socks!
Judy Laquidara says
Actually, my wool socks, I usually wear twice, especially if I keep shoes on all day. I pretty much do wash shirts, pajamas, and underwear every time I wear them but I try to wear my jeans two days. I’m really bad about wiping my hands on my jeans when I’m cooking so my behind usually has a layer of flour or dried dough of some kind on it. Also, I’m usually up and dressed by 5:30 or 6 a.m. and don’t usually take a shower til about midnight so I spend a lot of time in my clothes. Add in cat hair and dog hair and yes, I wash most of my clothes every time I wear them.
