Tonight we kept hearing sirens going by our house which is very unusual. I got online to see if there was anything reported . . because I’m nosey like that. I didn’t find anything about what was happening out here but did read that there was an armed robbery or attempted armed robbery in the mall parking lot this afternoon.
I was reading it to Vince and saying “Can you believe that? An armed robbery in our little mall parking lot? I’m never going out by myself!” Vince said “Don’t worry! They’d look at how we’re dressed and the car we drive and they’d leave us alone. In fact, they’d probably give us money!”
Doubtful but it was nice for a late night chuckle, courtesy of Vince.
I’m in no way laughing at what happened at the mall – just at Vince’s comment.

I use an app called Firedispatch, which lets me see what the 911 calls are about in my area. It is helpful in fire season, because hearing sirens near by can mean it’s time to leave quickly.

You can get an app for your phone that gives you the police and fire activity. Sort of like the old scanners where you could get the info 24/7. We have an old one that we have not used in about 20 years! LOL There are people here who listen to those things all day long.
