After the Fall

The All Butter Pie Crust

Last night, getting to sleep was kinda hard. My right elbow hurt so sleeping on the right side was uncomfortable. My left knee hurt so sleeping on the left side was uncomfortable. Once I fell asleep, I was fine – slept like a rock, as always.

I was careful getting out of bed this morning but everything seemed to work fine. I avoided going up and down the stairs today, kept ice packs on my knee off and on. I never even took an aspirin or anything (probably not supposed to take aspirin but Bayer aspirin seems to cure everything for me).

The weird thing is that there isn’t a single bruise on me – not my elbow, not my knee, not my wrists. I kinda feel like I should have something to show for the pain but nothing.

I believe I’ll be back to normal tomorrow.

Glad you’re doing pretty well…..Maybe because you’re so busy with everything, you’ve worked through all the pain without knowing it.

Doubtful. Don’t you know what a wimp I am when it comes to pain? 🙂

Glad you are ok. One thing I have found for aches in my knee is Voltaren. It is OTC and works really fast. You should only use it as directed though. It comes with a strip to tell you how much you can use.

I’ve never heard of that but you know I can’t take much so I’ll just stick with an aspirin if needed.

Sometimes bruises take a while to show. I fell last summer and broke my pinkie finger. No bruises at the time but my whole palm was black and blue a few days later. Same when I fell on my face last Christmas. After a few days I looked like a prize fighter that lost his match.

Oh, goodness! Sounds like I was pretty lucky with my fall.

Glad it was nothing too serious!

I’m like you Judy! Aspirin is my go to “drug” for any pain. That and an occasional Benadryl make up my “meds”. I love going to the Doctor and saying “Yep, that’s all I take.” And both are not even monthly. I know at my age, almost 72, that could change at any time! It is so fortunate that you were not more badly injured!

That’s great! You give me hope that I can make it a few more years without having to take big pharma concoctions!
