Vince kept our charcoal grill in Texas. He uses it fairly often. He’ll grill up several chicken breasts, brats, Italian sausage – whatever he has on hand, put it in the fridge and eat on it for as long as it lasts.
I’ve missed having a grill here, especially when he’s here. Even when he comes full time, he won’t bring our old grill so we needed a new one. We have a big ceramic egg, which I love for cooking steak but Vince doesn’t like it so much, we have the smokers but we needed just a plain charcoal grill.
I’m not sure if he wasn’t finding a grill or if he just wasn’t finding one on sale. This probably isn’t the prime time for buying a grill. Every time he would go out, I’d say “Did you get a grill?” He would say “No one has them on sale!” which probably means they had them but he wouldn’t pay full price!
He said he had already asked at Walmart and they told him they had put them all on clearance and sold them but he was back at Walmart and he said he noticed one lone grill way up on the top shelf kinda to the back, almost like it had been missed. He asked about it, a nice young associate got it down for him, checked the price and it was on clearance for $46. It’s funny because online, it’s $97 with free delivery.
We got ourselves a grill and I’m hoping for grilled hamburgers tonight!

YEA!!! I heard from someone who once worked at the Walmart here that some employees put things like that out of sight on purpose so the can come back and buy them.
