Yesterday was so busy . . hence the few blog posts.
Here’s how it started: Vince wakes up at 4 a.m. Why? What on earth is wrong with him? He goes to the bathroom which wouldn’t normally wake me up but Rita thinks he’s getting up so she wants to get up. I’m not sure if she wants to be close to him or she’s thinking he will feed her but she’s gotten in the routine of going to sleep and sleeping til time to get up so when he gets up, she thinks it’s time to get up.
Vince comes back to bed, I fuss with Rita or 20 or so minutes trying to get her to go back to sleep; by the time she settles down, Vince tells me he can’t go back to sleep so he’s getting up! I had several things to get done before my uncle and cousin arrived so I got up . . about 4 a.m.
There’s a restaurant in town that we pass often and it’s always packed so we decided to take them there. It wasn’t what I was expecting. When you walk in, the smell of cigarette smoke is overpowering. I had no idea restaurants here had smoking areas still. I was hoping, since we were seated in the non-smoking section, the smoke wouldn’t be too bad but it was bad. The food was average – not worth breathing the smoke and leaving smelling like smoke.
We came back here, had pie; they visited a while then left to drive back to Branson where they’re staying. Chad, Nicole and Addie are driving over there today to spend the weekend with them.
My uncle loved the pie. He said the nicest thing to me — He said “You spent a lot of time with mother (my grandma) and I think you picked up her good cooking skills.” He wanted to take a piece of pie home with him so I gave it all to him. He said he would share it with Addie but that means he’ll have to share it with Chad and Nicole too and I’m not sure that’s going to happen.
Vince and I were both tired and had planned to take a nap but never got around to it.
Then we planned to go to bed early but it was still after midnight before we finished everything we had started and got to bed. At least we slept til 5 this morning!

Michael and I have our sleeping times mismatched. He goes to bed at 8pm–and then wonders why he wakes up at 3am!–he’s had seven hours of sleep by then!!

Some days I get up at 7 and some days it is closer to 9! We don’t really have anything to do any days unless there is a doctor’s appointment or something special. So we pretty much make our own schedule. It is usually 12 before I can even go to bed. The sometimes I play solitaire or read. Depends on whether the story is good or not!
