This is so weird but in 23 years of marriage, last night was the first time we’ve ever had pizza delivered to our house. We’ve had it delivered to hotels a couple of times but in Kentucky, we lived too far out. In MO the first time, we were only about four blocks from the pizza place we liked and they were always so backed up with deliveries that we’d call it in, and run down to get it. In Texas . . well, you know we lived too far out or delivery.
The other day Vince was talking about how this is the first place we’ve lived that had a Papa John’s and he likes their pizza. Last night we decided to order pizza.
I told Vince . . I shouldn’t be this excited about having pizza delivered to my door! Most everyone else has been doing it for decades!
It was good. It was quick. Til I get my pizza oven set up, Papa John’s may be delivering to our house often!
There’s also a Papa Murphy’s down the road and I’d like to try that sometime too.

Too fun!! I make a lot of our pizzas, but we also love Papa Murphy’s. A funny story. When our oldest grandson was really little and they lived about six hours away, I would usually have Papa Murphys the night they arrived. Once I was feeling a little guilty about it (I don’t know why–I was teaching at the time) so I fixed a regular supper. Ryan sat down at the table, looked around and said, “Where’s the pizza??” He was so disappointed! Pizza rules!

That’s cute!

Looks good.

This would be us also!! We have not had a pizza delivery in 30 years we live to far out of town. I do pick up Papa Murphy’s thin crust and cook it on the Tranger. It cooks up fast and it’s very tasty.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Papa Murphy pizza. It’s piping hot out of the oven in just 13 minutes. Although if it’s delivery you’re loving, Papa won’t work for you.
Judy Laquidara says
No, they won’t deliver but they are very close to our house . . less than five miles away.

One evening when traveling south in our RV we were in the RV park office checking into our site when the pizza delivery guy walked in and said, “what site are the Jones’ in?” My dear born and bred in the country, loves to live in the middle of nowhere husband turned to me and said, “you can get pizza delivered???”–with the most incredulous look on his face! I just about died laughing! So, we had pizza delivered that night and it’s a treat when we are traveling in the RV, parked in a RV park.

You tell him I know exactly how he feels. We were downright giddy that we were having pizza delivered to our house last night.

Know I’m not on topic, but had to write anyway. Was in my local Walmart today and saw the 6 qt InstantPots on sale for $39.60! Did a double take, had a sales associate check that I wasn’t hallucinating, and then bought one for my son-in-law that does the majority of cooking in their home. Looks like InstantPot is rolling out a new model that also air fries, so perhaps older stock has to get moved out. This s-i-l has used mine several times and is thrilled he’ll have one now. Am thinking it’ll not wait around another 5-6 weeks before he’s using it in his own kitchen.

I saw that the other day and also did a double take and then laughed at how many we all bought when they were more than double that price.

We, too, love Papa Murphy’s. We live too far out for delivery. But, it’s only 10 minutes or so to Casey’s. So…:-)
Judy Laquidara says
We’re about 5 minutes from Casey’s but Vince won’t get a pizza there. I’ve heard they’re not bad.

The great reasons for moving to MO just keep stacking up. Pizza delivery is the best.
