Yesterday we were both so tired. We had planned to take a nap but we were busy all afternoon and by the time we had time to take a nap, it was really too late. I told Vince I wanted to be in bed by 9 p.m. but at 10 p.m., this was happening.
This was the entertainment center we used in Nevada. In ten years, TVs have outgrown the opening, plus I didn’t want a TV upstairs and Vince wanted to bring this with us so I’m going to put quilts in the middle, and other stuff in the sides; leave the middle open and keep the sides closed. But, on the move from MO to TX, it was damaged and one side didn’t close right. We had it stored in TX so we never had it fixed. I wasn’t happy about bringing it because sometimes, things have a tendency to either not get fixed or I feel like I’m nagging trying to get them fixed. I told Vince it wasn’t worth the arguments and I just didn’t want to bring it. He said “We’ll bring it and I’ll hire a cabinet maker to fix it.” Right! That wasn’t going to happen – he was NOT going to hire someone to fix it but since he said that, I knew he would fix it. Vince does amazing work, when he wants to or when he knows it’s going to cost him if he doesn’t do it, so late last night, he got it fixed and it’s perfect. Not sure how it happened but the hinges had to be moved to make the door work right so he has to get some touch up stain today, get the uncolored wood stained, let it dry, then I can put quilts in it.
We have company coming Thursday and I’d like to get it all done by then. And, get more boxes unpacked, and get the kitchen cleaned and the wood floors mopped and . . find some time for knitting. 🙂

Just don’t over-do to the point where your exhaustion end up as sickness. You don’t want to lower your immunity to the point where the smallest bug becomes a hugh sickness… especially these days. Don’t try to get it all done NOW! Taking your time will help you appreciate things more and keep from wearing yourself out. 🙂

We will be at this for a LONG time. It definitely isn’t all happening now. We don’t work as fast as we once did.

I hope the company that is coming knows how to lift and move boxes!! Would be nice if they could help you get some of them in the room where they need to be. LOL

No, they won’t be asked to help, nor would I let them if they offered.
