Sit down! Are you ready???
They have been found!
Vince called this afternoon.
Vince: I found more cookie cutters.
Me: What do they look like?
Vince: Not like most cookie cutters I’ve seen before.
Me: Are there some wooden sticks in the box?
Vince: Yes.
Me: Is there a deer mold?
Vince: Yes!
Then, I screamed and I almost cried. He sent me the picture.
Here’s the weirdest part of all. I asked where he found them. He said they were in the sewing room. I asked . . I thought everything was out of the sewing room. He said it was but these were sitting right on the countertop.
No way! They have not been sitting on the countertop for two years. Plus, everything is gone from the countertop. That’s where I did the oil changes for the freeze dryer; where I had some shoe box type containers for quilts in progress; where I had a VOIP phone. That box had not been sitting on the countertop. It was the exact same Rubbermaid type tote I had remembered them being in.
I’m not Catholic and through the last two years, I’ve been told numerous times to pray to St. Anthony. With Christmas coming up and knowing this move means if I don’t find them now, I’ll never find them, the other night, I said “St. Anthony. I don’t even know if you’re real and if you are, you know I’m not Catholic but I would be really happy if you’d help me find those cookie molds!”
I’m not saying it was St. Anthony and I’m not saying it wasn’t but Vince has found the cookie molds!
Ranch Wife says
Hallelujah!!
Valerie Zagami says
Hooray! St. Anthony is non partial to those who need help especially for items like cookie molds that hundreds of people are waiting to be found! So happy for you. And special dinner for Vince when he returns!!
Judy Laquidara says
It’s just so unbelievable that Vince found them on that counter. That’s like looking for your car for two years and finding it in the garage you walk through every day!
DarW says
YAY!!!!!!! All your blog readers are so totally relieved!! LOL
Judy Laquidara says
Or, you’re just trying to make me feel better about losing everything! 🙂

Judy Laquidara says
It’s funny that so many of the readers AND their husbands knew about my lost cookie molds.
Linda B says
Also when you are looking to put your house on the market, get a saint joseph statute and bury it in the yard. They make little plastic ones just for this purpose. He is said to help with house sales. We did that with our house and sold in two days.
Judy Laquidara says
Vince is Catholic so he should know about St. Joseph so I’ll remind him. Thanks.
Cheryl Behning says
Saint Anthony has come through for me many times.I am a believer!

Judy Laquidara says
The company I had used for all the years I’ve been collecting them has gone out of business. There are a couple of other companies but I love the ones I’ve bought from Springerle Joy and that’s another reason I was so sad to have lost them.

So glad the cookie molds have been found, they are beautiful. Seeing them gave me a thought on your curtain dilemma. A Fleur-de-lis in wood or brass would look wonderful to cover that spot. Hope you have something special planned for hero Vince!!!!
Joyce says
Woo Hoo! Now keep them somewhere where you will see them often! 🙂
Dottie Newkirk says
So very, very happy that they have been found!! Happy Baking!
Mitzie says
What a beautiful answer to prayer! I have read your blog for several years. I am so happy for you. We’ve all been pulling for these cookie molds to be found. A 2020 blessing, in the midst of chaos. Enjoy baking cookies, especially this year.
Judy Laquidara says
I just can’t get over how weird it is.
Donna M says
I wonder if the container got mixed in with the sewing project boxes. At any rate, glad they are finally found. Enjoy!
Judy Laquidara says
No. The cookie container is different. I has a raised teal colored lid and the sewing boxes all have flat lids. Every time I’ve seen one of those boxes with a teal colored raised lid for the past two years, my heart skips a beat and I open it so I just don’t believe that has been sitting in plain sight for two years.
katie z. says
As a Catholic, my personal experience is that St. Anthony has quite a sense of humor!
Sandie Mackintosh says
Hallelujah!!! Now if you have a nice spot for it, you should ask Chad or Vince to make you a display shelf for them, and hang it where it can be part of your kitchen decor. (And you’ll always know where they are! ?)
Kathy says
I am so excited! I can’t wait to see your cookies made with these. What a relief!

Hmmm, a cookie mold as a medallion…good color, good shape…good memory! no way to hang it..
