Sometimes things happen that are so weird, I ask myself (joking!) if I have special powers but then I know I do not because if I did, I’d know where those cookie molds are.
There are two things packed that I really need. If they were small things, I’d just buy more – like a cheese grater or my favorite knives – which should be here Tuesday! But the things I need (not just want) are the printer and a Foodsaver vacuum sealer. I found a brand new printer in the box but we have two that are nicer and are just alike – one was in the sewing room and one was in the house. I’m not sure I know how to hook up a brand new printer – drivers and weird stuff. If I could find the old ones that my computer is already friends with . . piece of cake! Vince can’t remember what kind of box he packed them in. He’s pretty sure they’re in different boxes.
The Foodsaver – we had two new ones still in the boxes. We tend to go through those things pretty quickly so we always keep extras.
Vince: I know where those are!
Me: Wonderful!
Vince: They’re both in the same box and it’s one of the bigger U-Haul boxes.
Me: Did you write anything on it?
Vince: Can’t remember that!
I went downstairs and oh, my . . those boxes seem to be multiplying. I opened five of the big U-Haul boxes and all they had in them were bolts of fabric. I don’t see any more but it is wall to wall boxes.
I was standing in the sewing room looking at it all and wanting to kick my own rear end for having so much stuff, wanting to cry and wanting to grab my purse and start running.
Then I thought . . I bought those microgreens at the Farmers’ Market. I have a kit from a year or so ago that I ordered to grow microgreens. I laughingly thought to myself . . wonder if I could find it.
Honest . . I walked right over to a stack of boxes and at the very top was a small USPS Priority Mail box. I thought it odd that it hadn’t been packed into a bigger box but I got a yardstick and pulled it to where it would fall and I could grab it. Yes . . it was the microgreens kit!
I walked away with that box not even believing it had happened.
If this little experiment works, I’ll never need to buy microgreens again! I really can’t believe I found it. I went ahead and started one tray of broccoli microgreens.
After I sat down and started knitting, I was thinking . . it’s kind of one of those half full/half empty situations. I could be frustrated that I can’t find the printer and Foodsaver or I could be happy that I found the microgreens. I am truly happy that I found the microgreens kit and until I started writing this post, I hadn’t even thought about the printer and Foodsaver again. In fact, when I was still downstairs yesterday, I meant to go to the extra bedroom upstairs because a few boxes got put in there and I just now remembered that. Shows how concerned I was about those things.
You know what would really make me happy . . cookie molds. I’m seriously pretty sure someone came into our house and took those . . nothing but those! There’s no other explanation. Seriously . . they’re somewhere but for sure it isn’t the sewing room and I’m beginning to believe it isn’t the house.

We are all waiting on bated breath to see where those cookie molds were.

Ask St, Anthony to help you find them!! My friend said you turn around 3 times asking him to help you find what you need. Don’t know if it works or not but it couldn’t hurt and there is no one there but you to see you doing this! LOL

Weren’t there some kitchen things (perhaps boxed) in Vince’s workshop? I seem to remember seeing some things that might have been yours, and that there was an “upstairs” in the workshop?

Yes but I’ve been through that stuff 100 times. I have shelves up there where I put the things I stored up there and the only thing I can think of is that I asked Vince to take that box up for me and, having no idea what was in it, he left it in the shop somewhere. Things don’t just vanish . . we had to have stuck it somewhere and we should come across it but I’ve about given up hope of ever finding it.
