Obviously, I’m the one who can’t figure it out and the more I think about it, the more confused I get. Thank goodness my phone and computer know, much better than I, what’s going on and they have the right time so I’ll stop trying to figure it out, I’ll stop thinking about it but I am going to check the clocks in the kitchen and in my car because I changed those and I’m betting I did it incorrectly. I give up!

Spring forward, fall back. That is the only way I can remember it. I just wish they would leave it one way or the other. I am tired of this! If I remember correctly they first did this in the early 1900’s due to so many kids in school having to work on the farm and helping dad out. But there are not that many of those farms left. Back then there were a lot of farms and not many in the cities. Just my way of complaining. 😉

We were traveling west one spring. We just happened to be entering Arizona the morning the clocks sprung forward. Only, Arizona doesn’t participate in daylight savings time. I was sooooo confused! I really had no clue what the correct time was.

i will now have to remember that there IS a time change between California (where I am) and Arizona, where I have friends, and my husbands company is headquartered.
For an added twist, the Navajo nation does observe the time change, and so people who book excursions with them have to remember they’re on a different schedule from the rest of the state!

It is crazy! I know the state of CA has employees who work in the Winterhaven area but live in Yuma. During DST, they’re dealing with two time zones every single day. I’d lose my mind!

Bless those folks. That must be so hard and what about kids – some of those people have to have kids in school and that has to be a timing nightmare.

When you live where there are cold winters you bring your garden furniture forward to the porch in spring and back in the shed in autumn. That´s how I remember the forward/back timechange.
