The only good thing about being home alone is that I can fix anything I want to eat and there’s no schedule. Today it was a late lunch.
It was a roast beef sandwich on a pretzel bun with horseradish mustard, Duke’s mayo and provolone cheese, along with fried goat cheese, the new pickles, tomatoes and leftover potato salad.
Those pickles, which are Atwoods’ brand, are delicious!
They aren’t overly spicy nor do they have an overwhelming garlic taste. To me they taste more sweet than dill.
They are so good. These taste a lot like the pickles I make using a big jar of dill pickles, slicing them and adding sugar and letting them sit for a while. These may be my new favorite pickles.
Next trip to town, I’ll be stopping and getting more of these pickles.
When we passed Atwoods the other day, Addie told me they have baby chicks. She said “We should get some and surprise Grumps!” I thought . . Granny might be the one with a surprise if Grumps shows up and I have baby chicks in the garage. When I was in there today, I could hear them. Not sure who gets baby chicks this time of year but . . what do I know? The only thing I know for sure is . . it won’t be me! 🙁
