You know that I’m not one who enjoys taking pictures of myself or having my picture taken so you don’t often see photos of me. I was telling my friend that I haven’t had a hair cut since February. I’ve always had bangs and they’ve grown out. I did have Vince cut the back of my hair once. My friend was asking how long my hair has gotten. Not long per se but longer than it’s been in years.
I took this picture to send her. No makeup except a little lipstick because my lips get dry; old faded T-shirt . . my normal attire but that’s me with a Covid hair do.

Your hair looks very styled. Maybe you should leave it that length and just get a trim.

Thanks! I’m actually going to let it grow more. I’d love to be able to pull it back when I’m working outside or not planning to go somewhere, then need to run to the store. Now, I do have to hit it with the curling iron or straight iron if I’m going somewhere but I think if I could pull it back, it would be way easier. I can always get it trimmed if I don’t like it longer but I do like it the length it is now.

Thanks. I actually like it too. Nothing about COVID has a good side but at least my hair is longer and I would never have done that had I been able to get haircuts. By the time the salons were open in Texas and I was brave enough to go, we were back and forth between Texas and MO so much,I was never sure when I’d actually be in town for a hair cut so I never got it cut. I have not had a hair cutter that I truly loved the way she cut my hair since I left Louisiana until about 4 years ago when I started using the lady I had been using. I love how she cut my hair and I’m going to miss her.

I think you look lovely. Your hair looks fine. One can’t tell it hasn’t been cut in awhile. I haven’t had a cut or color since June. Before then it was December. Just think of all the money we’ve saved! By the way, you don’t look old enough to be called granny. I enjoy reading your posts.
Judy Laquidara says
That’s exactly what I was thinking. My last appointment was towards the end of February and I usually got a haircut every 4 – 5 weeks. I’ve never done color so those who do that save way more than I do but I think just skipping 7 – 8 haircuts has been a big savings and I should treat myself by buying yarn! 🙂 The first four months, it about drove me crazy but now, I do know I need a good trim by a professional but it isn’t bothering me now.
Thanks! I’m older than most folks who have an 8 year old granddaughter. I was 33 when we adopted Chad. My sister was 18 or 19 when she had her first baby so she is younger than I am and has a 23 year old granddaughter.

You look fabulous!!

That may be a bit of an exaggeration but thank you!

that is a grest length and style for you! if it’s easy to care for, i’d keep it. i’m pretty much the same, last haircut was in march and i normally have a perm every 6 months but had decided to change styles so opted not to then. my covid look is now a ponytail, i’ve trimmed my own bangs, and wear my glasses instead of contacts except for the times i leave the house and am in public. i mostly wear pjs and call them “my quilting uniform. ” times are surely different.

I said earlier there’s not anything good about COVID but I think some of us are finding that we’re not being so picking about a lot of things and are liking our more relaxed lifestyle a lot better. I do want my hair to get to the point where I can pull it back so I’m going to let it keep growing. I can always get it trimmed if I don’t like it longer.

Wish I had the texture of your hair. I am thinner than ever and I never had thick hair

I think you look very stylish too. I have been trimming my bangs and about 4-5 months ago I trimmed my very long layered hair to just long. I must have cut 5-6 inches off by bending over and cutting it as I’d seen online. I thought it came out well and waited for my husband to notice but he never did…lol He only noticed the last time I cut my bangs. I’m due for another cut and I imagine I will do it again as I don’t want to go out to have it done.

That’s a pretty great COVID ‘do, Judy! I was expecting something ‘witchy’ looking after all of these months! Plus, the length looks really good on you!

I like your hair, it looks great! I too am letting my hair grow out. The best hair cutter I’ve ever had moved on…about a year ago, long before Covid hit. I tried a couple of other salons, but didn’t like the job they did. So, I let mine grow, cutting the ends myself – sometimes, the hub cuts the ends in back. It’s now shoulder length and very easy to manage.
Anyway, you’re a beautiful woman, hair included!
Susan Nixon says
It looks great! Mine has grown a lot – longer than yours, but mine is gray and fine and fly away. LOL
Liz says
I agree that it is a good length. If you go back to the Texas hairdresser for a last trim, have her take pictures of the front side and back – you can then show the pictures to your new hairdresser.

Your hair looks great! I think once we get past the point that we REALLY need a haircut, it doesn’t look too bad after several months!!

Fantastic photo! Your hair looks great. My hair is the longest it’s been since the mid-70’s. Really not worth to go to the salon right now.

Pretty pretty picture! Especially love your hair!

Your hair looks great for not having anything done for so long, I love the style, it looks great on you.

You look great in that style! I like your Covid style!
Amy Frances Makson says
Don’t remember seeing your pre-covid hair but this style is great. One would never know it is a “covid” cut. Thanks for sharing and now we can put a face ( a lovely face) to all your lovely words.

Your hair style is good on you. Looks like you have good hair.
Judy Laquidara says
Compared to some, I have good hair. I have a lot but it’s fairly fine and has just enough curl to frizz and get bigger and bigger as the day goes on in this humid area. In Texas, I had forgotten what humidity does to my hair, but it isn’t bad hair and it seems fairly slow to turn gray.

You look great!
