It’s a good thing I don’t need a lot of sleep. Last night I went to bed a little after midnight. I’m a night owl and my preferred schedule would be to stay up til about 2 a.m., then sleep til about 8 a.m. but I need to be up by 6 so I try to go to bed by midnight.
So, I went to bed, fell right to sleep. Rita woke me up at 1:45. She’s been having tummy issues, had done better for a couple of days but not so good last night. Got up, took her out; was back in bed and asleep by 2. She woke me up at 3:30. Took her out again, went back to bed. She wanted to go out again before 4 so after that, I put puppy pads down in the sunroom and put her out there with a comfy, washable bed.
I had told Vince I had to pick up an order at Walmart between 7 and 8 a.m. so he called at 6 to be sure I was up. What? After all the trips out with Rita, I had my clock set for 7:15. I’m 5.1 miles from Walmart. I slept in a T-shirt so all I had to do was brush my teeth (thank goodness I didn’t have to gargle!), put on jeans, socks and shoes and go.
Normally I don’t even take my phone in the bedroom but since I’m home alone, I do keep it with me. Maybe I should keep it with me but turn it off and definitely stick the dog somewhere else to sleep!
This evening I’m going to meet Nicole halfway and get Addie for the weekend. I’d like to think I’ll be able to take a quick nap this afternoon but I’ll probably start thinking about knitting or spinning, or even unpacking, and won’t be able to sleep.
